This Privacy Policy explains the information collected by "Minna no Tangocho" (hereinafter referred to as "the App"), how it is used, and the rights of users (hereinafter referred to as "Users").

1. Information Collected

The App may collect the following information:

• Account Information:
  • Google account information (display name, email address, profile picture, etc.) via Firebase Authentication
  • Email address and password via Firebase Authentication (for email authentication)
  • Usernames set by Users
• User-Generated Content:
  • Wordbooks (questions, answers, choices, tags, etc.)
  • Wordbook public/private settings
  • Information about forked wordbooks and their original sources
• Usage Information:
  • Wordbook play history (number of attempts, date/time, accuracy rate, etc.)
  • Information about wordbooks liked by Users
  • Search and browsing history
  • In-app operation logs (kept to a minimum to reduce reads)
• Device Information:
  • (If necessary) Device type, OS version, unique identifiers, etc. (mainly for crash reports and analytics)

Regarding image data, the App may temporarily store it using the device's cache function to improve performance, but it will not be used to identify individuals.

2. Purpose of Use

The collected information will be used for the following purposes:

• Provision and operation of the App's services (login authentication, data synchronization, content display, etc.)
• Saving and managing wordbooks created by Users
• Providing search, viewing, play, and fork functions for wordbooks created by other Users
• Displaying Users' records and achievements
• Improvement of services, bug fixes, and development of new features
• Usage analysis (may use Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• Responding to inquiries
• Responding to acts that violate the Terms of Service

3. Provision and Sharing of Information with Third Parties

The App will not provide or share Users' personal information with third parties except in the following cases:

• With the User's consent
• When required by law
• When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent
• When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent
• When cooperation with a national or local government agency or its agent is required by law, and obtaining the User's consent may impede the execution of such affairs
• When providing to contractors (such as Firebase) to the extent necessary for the operation of the App. In such cases, appropriate supervision of the contractors will be conducted.
• Wordbooks set to public by Users may be viewed, played, or forked by other Users. When forked, the original User's information (such as username) may be displayed as the source.

4. Data Management and Security

The App utilizes security features provided by Firebase and takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or unauthorized access to collected information.

5. User Rights

Users can view, modify, or delete their account information and created content within the App. For account deletion or requests regarding disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of personal information, please contact us at the address below.

For Google account linkage, you can also unlink from your Google account settings.

6. Use by Minors

The App does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13 years old (or the age specified by local laws). If it is discovered that personal information has been collected from a child without parental consent, we will promptly take steps to delete such information.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised due to changes in laws or improvements to the service. In the event of significant changes, Users will be notified within the App or on our website. The revised Privacy Policy will take effect from the time it is posted on this page.
